Heat-shrink tube label

A permanent identification solution designed for the entire lifecycle of cables, featuring a high‑quality polyolefin heat‑shrink substrate that, upon heating and shrinking, tightly wraps the cable surface to achieve physical adhesion that “integrates” with the cable. It offers flame retardancy, weather resistance, electrical insulation, and durable, abrasion‑resistant marking—making it ideal for applications in power grids, telecommunications infrastructure, new‑energy vehicles, industrial manufacturing, and more. This solution fundamentally addresses industry challenges such as the easy detachment and poor weatherability of conventional labels.

Functional Parameters

A permanent identification solution designed for the entire lifecycle of cables, it utilizes a high‑quality polyolefin heat‑shrink substrate that, upon heating and shrinking, tightly encapsulates the cable surface, achieving physical adhesion that integrates seamlessly with the cable. Featuring flame retardancy, weather resistance, insulation protection, and durable, abrasion‑resistant marking, it is widely applicable across power grids, telecommunications infrastructure, new‑energy vehicles, industrial manufacturing, and other sectors, fundamentally addressing the industry’s longstanding challenges of conventional labels peeling off and lacking weather resistance.

Product Features and Performance Advantages

  • Heat-shrink lamination: It employs a polymer memory material that contracts when heated, seamlessly enveloping the cable and eliminating the common issues of traditional labels—such as peeling and edge lifting.
  • Flame-retardant and weather-resistant: With a wide operating temperature range of –55°C to 125°C and an excellent flame-retardant rating, it meets industrial‑grade electrical safety standards and the demanding requirements of outdoor environments.
  • Permanent Identifier: Thermal transfer printing produces durable, abrasion‑ and scratch‑resistant markings that are resistant to solvent corrosion, with an outdoor service life of over 10 years.
  • Insulation Protection: Provides an additional insulating layer for protection, effectively preventing cable abrasion and electrical leakage, thereby enhancing overall electrical safety.

Typical application scenarios

  • Power Grid: Cable identification covering all scenarios, including transmission and distribution lines, substation busbars, charging stations, and power‑operation and maintenance.
  • Telecommunications Infrastructure: Clear and organized management of 5G base stations, data center server rooms, cabinet cable management, and structured cabling systems.
  • New energy vehicles: High-voltage wiring harnesses of the battery pack, low-voltage control circuits of the entire vehicle, and internal wiring markings within charging infrastructure.
  • Industrial Manufacturing: Durable marking for automated production lines, industrial control equipment, robot joints, and heavy‑duty marine cables.

Industry Solutions

To address the pain points of cable management across various industries, we offer customized labeling solutions. Our one-stop package—featuring a dedicated printer, compatible heat-shrink tubing labels, and proprietary labeling software—enables end-to-end digital management, from design and printing to shrink‑fit application and archiving. This significantly reduces manual transcription errors, enhances equipment maintenance efficiency and compliance, and helps enterprises achieve standardized, visually transparent cable asset management and operations.

Technical Principles and Process Flow

This product uses a radiation‑crosslinked polyolefin material as its base. During manufacturing, high‑energy electron beams from an accelerator are used to irradiate the polymer, transforming its linear molecular chains into a three‑dimensional network structure (crosslinking). The material is then heated to expand and set its shape. When applied and heated to its shrinkage temperature—typically around 90°C to 120°C—the crosslinked network within the material exhibits a “shape‑memory recovery” effect, rapidly contracting to tightly envelop the cable surface and forming a robust, insulating, weather‑resistant protective coating.
